Picture block

Add a picture by using the Picture block.

The Picture block looks like this.

Click on the Click to select a picture area to open the picture selection dialog. Select the picture that you want to put on your page.

After you select a picture, various options will appear to customize the appearance and interactive aspects of the picture.

Appearance

You can set the maximum width of the image and its alignment relative to the page.

For example, the image below is set to maximum width of 50% and aligned to the center of the page.

Caption

You can also give it a caption that will appear at the bottom of the image. You can also give it an "Alt text" which is useful for screen readers.

This is the caption. This image also has an Alt Text "Picture of cat" that is not visible.

Link

You can also turn the image into a link by giving it a URL. If you want the link to open to a new tab, turn on the "Open in New Tab" toggle.

This example picture links to the Owlstown home page and opens in a new tab.
